The incidence of breast cancer has increased considerably in recent decades. Fortunately, in parallel, the knowledge we have of this disease has increased and the treatment we have in patients who suffer from it has improved.
The early diagnosis, the improvement of the surgical technique and the effectiveness of the treatment to be carried out after the surgical operation, has allowed that a surgery before very aggressive, has become a procedure most of the time conservative, that hardly modifies the image body of the woman.
The treatment of patients is increasingly personalized, in relation to the size of the lesion and the volume and shape of the breast, as well as the cellular characteristics of the tumor.
